Electric Heaters Troubleshooting and Operating Tips

No power to the unit

  • Is unit plugged in? Is breaker panel reset? Is disconnect switch attached to unit tripped?

If overheat limit switch trips, unit will shut off

  • Is unit plugged in? Is breaker panel reset? Is disconnect switch attached to unit tripped?
  • Unplug unit
  • Allow to cool down
  • Make sure intake and exhaust areas are not blocked or too close to wall
  • Lower thermostat on heater
  • Check to see if fan has sucked something in that’s blocking blades
